Payroll pay card program to end July 1, 2023

The University of Colorado’s payroll pay card program will stop issuing pay cards effective July 1, 2023.

The payroll pay card program began in 2014, with the aim to eliminate paper checks and replace them with more cost effective and easy-to-use pay cards. In the intervening years, Employee Services found limitations around who could receive the pay card, along with problems encountered by most employees when activating and using a pay card.

Current users

All pay cards still in use will remain active with their current account at Skylight/Brinks. Deposits on these pay cards will continue. Replacement card requests and cardholder questions regarding pay cards should be directed to the Customer Service number on the back of the Skylight/Brinks debit card.

Sign up for direct deposit or receive a paper check

Effective July 1, 2023, all employees who do not have direct deposit will be sent paper checks to their mailing address in the employee portal.

Employee Services strongly encourages all employees to use direct deposit, as this ensures timely receipt of payroll funds. See direct deposit instructions.
