Cvent has three differnt types of event forms: Standard Registration, Express Registration, and Express Ticketing. More complex features, such as waitlists, registration paths, sessions, session groups, imported registrants, or name badges, will not be supported with an express event. Use this checklist if you are building and sending an eComm Marketing Cloud Evite (event invitation) AND building a Cvent event registration form. Your campus eComm specialist's role is to provide an audience report and review, integrate and activate your Cvent event.
Learn about email marketing best practices along with CU's requirements for sending post-registration communications via Cvent (e.g. subject line, from email address, from name, event planner signature, and opt-out links).
All done creating and testing your event? Contact your eComm specialist to approve your event. They will double-check numerous items; such as having an Event Planner Email Address and a CU brand compliance website along with correctly configured post-registration emails and financial information so money transfers to the right accounts, among other things. Then you will be ready for launch!
