Anchor links are clickable links that direct the reader to a specific section or location of a webpage, document, or email. They are often used to provide quick navigation within lengthy pieces of content. Although tempting to use in emails, anchor links are not without limitations.
Does a contact need to start (or stop) receiving a communication of yours? If your Report or Data Extension is based on a Salesforce Campaign, users can manage Campaign Members and create new Contacts when needed. Those audience changes will be reflected the next time the corresponding Report is sent to or Data Extension is started. It's a great way for users to continually manage small changes to an audience, without involving an eComm specialist.
For organizations with a large number of Salesforce users, Public Groups optimize performance and bring efficiency. Given eComm's 300 person userbase with an average of 20 new licenses each month, we couldn't manage without them.

While Cvent has a feature to "allow partial payments," we never want to enable it. Collecting credit card information to process part of the payment now and the other portion at a later time doesn't align with CU's approach to protecting cardholders and it should not be enabled under any circumstances. The good news is, by default, this setting is disabled across all events and most users remain unaware of this functionality. Follow these instructions to confirm your paid event doesn't have this feature enabled.
Learn all about Reporting in eComm's instance of Salesforce, primarily to create audiences for communications sent through Marketing Cloud. Find templates of common populations available to clone with the option of further customizing and familiarize yourself with eComm's data dictionary to better understand the 500+ data points that can be leveraged.
The Free Map Tool has a ZIP Code Radius Search Map which allows you to determine what Zip Codes fall into a set range from a set point (ie. 10 mile radius of 80203). These Zip Codes can then be used in a Salesforce Report to capture an audience based on where individuals live. This is often useful when hosting an in-person event and determining who to invite.
GeoCode, a field in Salesforce available on a Contact's record, currently comes from the Advance database. Advance will be getting rid of this field during the migration to Ascend, so it will no longer be available in eComm's instance of Salesforce. In preparation for this change, Salesforce Reports currently using this field need to be recreated with an alternative method or deleted by April 25, 2023.
Effective email marketing is data-driven and should not be viewed as set it and forget it. As an email marketer, looking at reliable metrics when analyzing your email marketing performance is essential. Using your own data as a benchmark is the best practice for determining if you are meeting your goals or need to optimize to improve performance.
