As Dell rolls out their new machines and new naming conventions outlined above, it means it is also time to update the recommended Standard Configurations of Dell computers found in the CU-Marketplace.

Generally, Inspiron becomes Dell, Latitude becomes Dell Pro and Precision becomes Dell Pro Max.  Each of these new families is further divided into Base for essential features, Plus for organizational deployment, and Premium featuring the most mobility and high-end finishes.

The table below will provide a “crosswalk” to help show how the previous standard configurations have evolved to the new naming conventions.

Most of the new standard configurations are already available in the Dell catalog within CU-Marketplace.  A few additional next generation devices will be added as they are released and become available from Dell.
