CU MEDICARE ENROLLMENT. Fill your plate with 2027 coverage and select your best options by Oct. 23.

From Oct. 12–23, Medicare-eligible retirees and surviving spouses can change their CU Health Plan — Medicare coverage for 2027. This enrollment period aligns with the national Medicare Open Enrollment. Medical and dental coverage will begin Jan. 1, 2027, and run through Dec. 31, 2027.  

Things to know:

  • If you would like to keep the same benefit choices, no action is required, and you will be automatically re-enrolled in your current plans when the new plan year begins Jan. 1, 2027.
  • The annual deductible and out-of-pocket maximums will reset for the Medicare and Premier Dental plan on Jan. 1, 2027.
    • Members enrolled in the High Deductible plan will continue on a July–June plan year. Their deductible and out-of-pocket maximums reset on July 1 each year.
