Upcoming Change to Procurement Card Policy on IT Purchases
Beginning July 11, the PSC will release a policy update and a new required Percipio training course related to IT purchases made with the PCard. While these updates will not go into effect immediately, we want to provide early visibility so cardholders and AOs can prepare.
Why is this happening?
The PSC is working closely with campus leadership to ensure PCard purchases align with IT security standards to mitigate risk and leverage strategic sourcing resources—while keeping things practical and efficient for departments.
What You Can Expect:
- A new IT Procurement training course will be available in Percipio starting July 11
- This training will be required for all NEW and CURRENT cardholders and Approving Officials
- New cardholders and AO applicants will be required to take the new, additional IT Procurement training course beginning on July 11
- Training completion for all current cardholders will be required by September 1
- The updated policy will go into effect September 1
We’ll continue sharing more information as the release date approaches, including new resources for campus-specific IT restrictions and requirements.
