Source Selection & Price Reasonableness Form Changes

With the support of your campus Controller and Grants & Contracts / Contracts & Grants offices, the Procurement Service Center is pleased to announce that effective May 1, 2024 the Source Selection & Price Reasonableness (SSPR) form will no longer be required for any purchases under $50,000. This streamlined process empowers CU to acquire necessary goods and services more efficiently.

With this increase to the SSPR threshold, it is important to note that all current exemptions to the SSPR form for purchases over $50,000 remain unchanged. A comprehensive list of these exemptions can be conveniently referenced on the SSPR form itself, ensuring clarity and compliance every step of the way.

Originating in January 2023 to align with Uniform Guidance requirements for federal purchases under 2 CFR Part 200, the SSPR form has served as a vital tool in our procurement toolkit. However, in our ongoing commitment to operational excellence, we have diligently explored avenues to optimize our processes. This exciting update reflects our dedication to adapt and evolve, now raising our micro-purchase threshold in accordance with 2 CFR §200.320(a)(1)(iv).

As we embrace this positive change, we extend our gratitude to our campus partners who have contributed to this advancement. Together, we continue to enhance efficiency, transparency, and compliance across our procurement landscape, ensuring the continued success of our institution.
