CU customers who purchase through McKesson Medical-Surgical will begin seeing a new name in the coming months. McKesson Medical-Surgical is transitioning to a new name: Wellverse.

While we don’t have all the details or an exact transition date yet, we anticipate the Wellverse name will begin appearing around January 2027. We wanted to give CU customers an early heads-up so the new name isn’t a surprise when it begins appearing in CU Marketplace and other communications.

What does this mean for CU customers?

The good news is that very little is expected to change from an ordering perspective. We have been assured that the transition to Wellverse will not impact the ordering process through CU Marketplace. Customers should continue to access the supplier catalog and place orders through CU Marketplace as they do today.

As the transition occurs, customers can expect to see the Wellverse name replace McKesson Medical-Surgical, including updates within CU Marketplace.

At this time, no action is required from CU customers. The Procurement Service Center (PSC) will continue working with McKesson/Wellverse as the transition approaches and will share additional information if there are any changes that impact CU customers.

For now, just remember: new name, same ordering process.
