What Do You Need to Learn This Year?

Successful professional development is the result of strategic thinking and planning -- a joint effort for the employee and his or her organizational unit. The OUC promotes this effort through our Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Program. Course topics range from accounting to personal skills development to computer expertise. We'll announce the complete FY 2014 CPE schedule later this month but for now, here's a preview:

Quarter 1 (Sep 9, 17 & 26)

Registration available August 19 for September courses on financial reconciliation, banking, fraud, stress management, project management tools, CU expenditures ... and other topics.

Quarter 2 (Nov 11 & 14, Dec 5)

Get up to speed on reading financial statements, gift fund management, emotional intelligence, revenue recognition, social media ... the list goes on.

Quarter 3 (Feb 18 & 20)

Learn about tax updates, auditing, online reconciliation, internal controls ... and more.

Quarter 4 (April 10, 15 & 17)

Gain expertise in Cognos m-Fin reports, Microsoft Word/Powerpoint, and mobile device use ... and gear up for fiscal year-end. We'll announce the full year's schedule -- and open the doors to September registrations -- on August 19.
