Compensation Reports

m-Fin COMPENSATION SUMMARY and m-Fin PAYROLL TRANSACTIONS have been set to report expenditures only.    Please let us know if this is a welcome change.  These versions of the reports are available to you now in Cognos QA.  [Now in production.]

With PeopleSoft 9.2 based data, these reports started picking up transactions other than expenditures.  To make them consistent with what they produced before, we set them to be expenditures only.

Thanks to Andrea Edwards, University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Immunology and Microbiology, for brining this problem to our attention.

PETs that have been approved and not showing in mfin/GL detail.  Per the most recent communication from HCM/Finance this issue had been corrected but this is not the case.

Benita -  I asked around and indeed you are correct.  More problems have cropped up with the feed from HCM payroll to GL.  I don't know any specifics about the nature of the problem, just that they are working on it.  Once the data does post then it will be in m-Fin the next day.

Old employee compensation reports have disappeared.  These are clean, easy reading reports and we need them back.  The new compensation reports take forever to review and figure out what the bottom line is.  When can we expect the old reports to appear in HR?

The m-Fin reports have not changed much with 9.2.  They are m-Fin PAYROLL TRANSACTIONS (don't miss the final page if you are wanting summary rather than transactions) and m-Fin COMPENSATION SUMMARY (don't miss the different summarizations on the different pages).  If you are looking for reports in HCM itself, you'll need to ask Employee Services.

On the compensation reports, the benefit rate that appears is that the actual benefit rate only or does is it benefit rate plus fringe rate (currently 2.074%)?

Carl Sorenson

The benefit rates shown in m-Fin COMPENSATION SUMMARY and m-Fin PAYROLL TRANSACTIONS do not include fringe.  The mentality of these reports is only what was directly booked on the employee's id.
