Quality Assurance Engineer |
Bhavana earned her master's degree at CU Denver and has worked in quality assurance roles at companies like Insurance Auto Auctions and Indegene Healthcare in the past. She has experience in user interface, functional, performance, compatibility and API testing. Bhavana joins CU System as a quality assurance engineer on the UIS team. Her role is to support development teams by testing their applications — including creating test scripts, updating regression suites, running test scripts, reporting the results and making sure the applications are ready for production. In her free time, Bhavana enjoys playing with her kids and watching movies together. She also loves cooking, especially trying out new dishes, especially desserts! |

Production Support Professional |
Matthew joins the UIS production team as a support professional. Previously, he worked for almost fourteen years at King Soopers, working his way up to an assistant deli manager and then seafood department manager. Matthew works in Production Services, handling duties regarding batch processing and automation. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, reading and collecting comics. |

Principal Data Governance Analyst |
Tessa joins UIS as a principal data governance analyst, with extensive experience in data governance, analytics and process improvement. She has led initiatives in the financial, energy, sustainability and insurance sectors that enhanced data accuracy, user engagement and program efficiency. Tessa’s new role supports and enhances CU’s Data Governance program by collaborating with stakeholders, overseeing metadata, improving processes, analyzing technical and business needs and promoting change management. Outside of work, Tessa enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping and has recently discovered a passion for gardening. |
Allen Hoffman |

Principal Data Architect |
Allen joins UIS as a principal data architect responsible primarily for the university’s customer relationship management instances and GraphQL APIs maintained by the Integration Platform team. His position plays a key role in mapping and implementing data transformations from PeopleSoft and other enterprise system schemas into a Salesforce Education Cloud Data Architecture. In addition to this, he is involved in data aggregation, warehousing, integration, and archiving of data for our other data domains. Allen previously worked with Western Union, First Data, Lucent Technologies, and BNSF Railway. Allen and his wife, Lori, have lived in Littleton for nearly 30 years. Allen enjoys having his daughter and grandson nearby and exploring outdoor activities with them. Allen and Lori also enjoy music, games and riding their motorcycle. |

Principal Project Manager |
Steven has worked as a senior project manager on the UIS PMO team since Aug. 2023, before becoming the Principal Project Manager in March. In his new role, Steven will be working on larger, multi-campus IT Governance-related projects. Outside of work, Steven is very involved in the world of the Eurovision Song Contest and even co-hosts a podcast called the Eurovision Kiki Podcast with some close friends. |
