He most recently served as the assistant director of Brand and Design. Today, Jeff serves as the marketing manager with the Customer Relationship Management Team.

Jeff lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and two kids, and a new-to-the-family golden retriever. He enjoys reading with his kids (often science fiction and fantasy), hiking and outdoor activities such as mountain biking and kayaking, photography, design and “tech nerdery.” He loves spending time in the mountains, at the hot springs or the beach.

Matthew has worked with a wide variety of computer systems in various industries since the 1990s. He was recently specializing in the processing of large media files at high speed. Now, Matthew is the lead systems engineer for the Infrastructure team within Enterprise Cloud Services.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys camping and the outdoors. He is an avid motorcyclist and student pilot.

David Freund

3/04/24

Lead Systems Engineer

Dave first got into IT while in graduate school at the University of Denver and proceeded to work in various IT divisions at DU for 16 years. More recently, he spent five years in infrastructure at First Bank, where he primarily worked with storage, virtualization and VDI.

As a new lead systems engineer for UIS, Dave will bring all his experience and expertise together. He’ll be working in Enterprise Cloud Services, where he’ll help with all infrastructure services across three data centers.

When not working or raising his kids, Dave likes to get outside and enjoy Colorado and all the activities that originally motivated his move here from Chicago in 2002: running, biking, skiing, backpacking and sometimes playing ultimate frisbee or baseball and football with his kids.
