If all goes as planned, CU will be running Cognos 11.1 in production on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019. This version is currently available for you to test, using this link to the upgraded CU-Data QA: https://cognos-upgrade-qa.qa.cu.edu/bi/?perspective=home

You’ll notice there are no major differences in functionality or appearance between the current and upgraded environments. We expect that you will be able to continue using m-Fin reports the same way as you do now.

One huge benefit of this upgrade is that UIS/IRM will be able to access your ‘My Content’. This means it will be easier for us to troubleshoot issues with your report views and schedules. And, if you would like to share content from your ‘My Content’ with other users, IRM will be able to do so for you.

That being said, your current ‘My Content’ will not automatically carry over to the upgraded CU-Data.

What do we need you to do?

If you want to see your saved ‘My Content’ in the upgraded environment, you will be required to save your content from your ‘My Content’ to the ‘Team Content’ in the current environment by noon on Monday, December 9th. Expect another blog post explaining how to move reports/report views from your ‘My Content’ to the ‘Team Content’ shortly!
