m-Fin ACCOUNT RANGE BY FUND

Only about twenty people use the cms "Denver" report AD043 - Summary of Balance Sheet Accts. So I would like to try out some possible alternatives before proceeding. If you use AD043, please explore these alternatives and reply on this blog post to let me know if any are sufficient. AD043 is cross-tabulation, summing actuals by account codes (down) by fund groups (across).
There are several reports now in Cognos QA for you to test. This is the complete list so it includes some that have been announced previously.
  1. m-Fin FINANCIAL DETAIL
  2. m-Fin ABNORMAL BALANCE
New. Replaces the cms "Denver" Abnormal Bal. Summary by FOPP & Acct report.
  3. m-Fin BALANCE SHEET SUMMARY
A new m-Fin FINANCIAL DETAIL is now available for you to test in Cognos QA.

Fit More Data Onto Each Page

  • Less white space per line of data.
  • In PDF, full report headers show only on the first page of each FOPPS.
  • The special subtotals for travel appear only for data from Concur (source code ESE). Rather than getting an unnecessary subtotal line, other sources of travel data are given a slight shading.
m-Fin Blog is back on-line now. We were down for a few days due to last week's outage of www.cu.edu based web systems.

CU Marketplace - Financial Report Comment

Miss how the old cms "Denver" summary reports drilled to show the composition of the outstanding encumbrances? Three m-Fin reports in Cognos QA now have a similar drill, using the m-Fin OUTSTANDING ENCUMBRANCES. Give them a test run.
  1. m-Fin OPERATING SUMMARY
  2. m-Fin REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE SUMMARY
  3. m-Fin TRIAL BALANCE SUMMARY
