Better with Technology: Degree audit capability expanding to CU Anschutz

A student service tool being used on the University of Colorado’s Boulder, Denver and Colorado Springs campuses is being rolled out to the Anschutz Medical Campus for initial development.

UIS has made the degree audit tool, the planner tool and the schedule builder available to Anschutz to begin populating the necessary degree and course information.

The degree audit tool empowers students to run a report on their current class completion and enrollment compared against the requirements for their degree program. This report identifies courses required within a degree program that are complete, in progress or incomplete, according to a student’s record.

This can help students identify classes they need to take as they enroll in classes each semester and keep them on a track to complete their program on time.

The uAchieve Planner helps students create a detailed, term-by-term roadmap for their academic career. The schedule builder, meanwhile, provides a visual representation of a student’s schedule where they can pick a course section, add it to a calendar-view format and when their preferred selections are made they can be pushed to the school’s registration system to begin the registration process.

For now, these tools are available in the development stage. Anschutz will announce the schedule for rolling the tool out to campus users at a later date.
