Project Status, July 3

Our focus this week was eComm security and planning for go-live and training.

For production and training, the plan is that the core eComm team (MECs) will move to production in August and training for the broader eComm user base will happen in the fall. A communication was sent to our users and stakeholders on July 3.

STATUS UPDATE FROM PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Current Status: Scope – Green; Timeline – Yellow

Highlights:

  • UAT completed 6/25.
  • As stated last week, Test Environment built and regression tested. Code and data load complete into Test, including Exact Target/Marketing Cloud
  • Functional testing by eComm personnel has a change in course – most functional testing completed with UAT. Analysis underway to make sure we have complete set of signed-off functional tests.
  • Provisioning is underway
  • Security to be reviewed this week with small session Tuesday, larger session Thursday
  • Soapbox Exchange is currently in negotiation. A few questions remain…
  • Testing / Bug Fix cycle and continued Integration development (Email, Phone, Country Code)
  • Visual Integrators Bulk API integration (for batch loads to Salesforce) development in progress

Narrow down scope to data field to object to source system. Simple data mapping.

Team continues to manage project schedule. Lengthy discussion Tuesday (6/30) about options in terms of training, Stage, and Production rollout. Nutshell: team looking to potentially:

  • Delay Production complete to August (all software and data reconciled in Prod)
  • Allow MEC/SuperUser usage and bug reporting in August (environment TBD)
  • Provision Community users in September
  • Conduct training to September/October
  • Rollout to all Production users in October.

No decision at this time.

Timeline remains in yellow status for this week until results of UAT are in and analyzed, and determination if Conditions of Satisfaction are met for functional testing. Adoption of schedule proposed above should move status to green.

Provisioning planning is mostly occurring offline with meetings as necessary. Need to engage contracted resources for some provisioning activities – funding pending.

Data integrations conversations continue on bi-directional data planning across systems (MDM, Advance, SFDC, etc.).

Soapbox Exchange exploratory activities continue. While no decision has been made, and there are some outstanding contract language considerations, team is optimistic that the solution will fit the need, demo and requirements matching pending.

Primary focus this coming week:

  • Regression/functional test of Test Environment
  • Review short term schedule and revise
  • Debrief with results from regression, functional, and UAT testing
  • Update configuration as required
  • Requirements analysis for eComm Phase 2.0
