Office of Digital Education Updates

While the Office of Digital Education undergoes a reframing to consider the ongoing changes to the world of online learning, they continue to provide service to each campus. The search for a permanent head is on pause as well as the leads for student enrollment services and student success. These pauses were based on President Saliman’s consultation with the chancellors. In the interim, Courtney Borton is the head of ODE, as the acting associate vice president, while she maintains her position as the assistant vice president of marketing and communication for ODE. She has more than 10 years of experience dedicated to online higher education at five major universities and understands the evolving hybrid future. As she maintains current operations of ODE and existing CU Online programs, she is also working to ensure ODE’s internal operations align with needs identified by the campus planning processes.

ODE will work with the campuses to create a vision for online and hybrid learning. They will provide regular updates to the Faculty Council, through CU Connections, and other meeting venues, as well as the ODE website.

In the meantime, faculty are encouraged to reach out to their campus liaisons (below) for more information. They may also contact ODE through the website: contact ODE.
