The finance system annual update -- also known as the PUM, or PeopleSoft Update Manager, update -- is coming at the end of March. Originally planned for February 22, 2026, the update was rescheduled to the contingency date of March 29, due to earlier performance and authentication issues related to campus portals, ERP systems, and other UIS services.
To prepare for March 29, note the following.
FIN search pages will look different.
- Search fields that are currently stacked in a single column will instead be arranged side-by-side, allowing you to see more criteria at a glance and reducing your need to scroll.
- What this means to you: If you search for SpeedTypes, journal entries, or vendors (for example), it will be faster and easier to find what you need.
- For sample screenshots (before, and after, the PUM update), see our previous OUC News article.
Grid personalizations will need to be restored.
- Personalized field-order display for the grids on FIN pages (e.g., journal lines, voucher, and award) will revert to the default display for that page.
- What this means to you: You may want to restore those grids to the field order you prefer. To facilitate this process, we recommend that you take a screenshot of your personalized grids before the weekend of the PUM update (March 28-29). This way, you can use the screenshots to help you reestablish the desired field order after the update.
