Congratulations to OUC Learning Design Manager Kristina Mendez! Kristina is one of 10 staff members from across CU (two from each campus and two from System Administration) to be recognized by the University of Colorado Staff Council (UCSC) at their 2023 Staff Excellence Awards ceremony this month.
The UCSC awards are presented annually to staff members who go above and beyond their job duties and consistently surpass expectations. In her nomination letter, OUC Director of Financial Services & Solutions Normandy Roden noted, Kristina is "continuously driven to excel in performing her job, in providing customer service, in working with teams, and in leading projects and people."
Kristina began working for CU as an Area Accountant at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus Finance Office in April 2014. She joined the Office of University Controller in October 2016 and is currently responsible for leading OUC training and communication initiatives in the areas of finance, accounting, financial reporting, and fiscal roles and responsibilities.
