CU-Data was recently upgraded to Cognos 12.1.1 – an incremental “dot version” upgrade from the previous Cognos 12.0.3.

What’s New (and, yes, Improved)?

User interface changes make navigating to reports cleaner and more streamlined.

  • The Open Menu panel is reorganized so you’ll need fewer clicks to find Reports, Dashboards, Team Content, and Recent/Favorites.
  • The Team content and My content folders are now available directly on the homepage, next to the usual options for Recents and Favorites.

What’s the Same?

General report operation continues as before.

  • There are no changes to how you run, read, or schedule reports.
  • Your existing reports, saved views, and scheduled deliveries will continue as before.

Highlights on the Training Website

We’ve updated the CU-Data How-to pages to highlight the easier navigation to reports.

Clear Browser Cache!

Your browser saves data from websites you visit locally on your device, to speed up future visits to those sites. When a site is updated, the saved data for that site can become out of date, causing slow loading times or formatting problems. If you experience an error when launching CU-Data … or notice missing prompt value boxes in an m-Fin report … or see that the Finish/Next button stays grey even after required values have been entered … the answer could be simply clearing your cache. Here’s how to do this.

On most Windows browsers:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Del
  • Select the options to clear cache and cookies, and set the time range to "All Time" or "Everything"
  • Close all browser windows completely, then reopen your browser

On Safari (Mac):

Have scheduled reports?

Renew your credentials to prevent any interruption. InCU-Data, go to the Personal menu (top right) > Profile and Settings > Profile > Advanced Options, then click Renew next to Credentials.
