May 11, 2016 marked “sine die,” the final day of the 2016 state legislative session.The State Relations team actively worked on and tracked many bills of interest to CU and University of Colorado Health stakeholders. Major legislative topics this year included higher education funding, tuition classification, capital construction, cybersecurity, and health care.

Dorothy Horrell, Ph.D, CU Denver Chancellor, hosted Representatives Susan Lontine (D-Littleton) and Paul Rosenthal (D-Denver) on the Denver campus for the first of two legislative briefings with members of the Denver legislative delegation.
A series of legislative briefings were held at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus as part of a summer “Exploring CU Anschutz” outreach program.
