Like History? This Report helps you Review It

If you aren’t reading Carl’s m-Fin blog, you’re missing some very interesting developments in the Cognos Reporting System. Here’s a recent example:

The new m-Fin ACCOUNT ACTUALS PERIOD BY FISCAL YEAR report summarizes Account ChartField values (as the report title indicates) across the accounting periods of multiple fiscal years. History in your hands!

You can review historical cash balances on a clinical trial … take a look at salary over the years … or monitor operating expenditures.

But there’s more.

The report can also provide visual cues. We particularly like the CHART: IN/OUT BAR view that highlights positive and negative transactions.
