Lisa Nelson is the Associate Director and Ombuds for the CU Denver Ombuds Office.
Lisa has an extensive background providing conflict management services, including ombudsing, mediation, restorative practices, facilitation, coaching, and training to students, faculty, staff, and other constituents at CU Denver|Anschutz, CU Boulder, Metropolitan State University of Denver, University of California (UC) Davis, and UC Davis Medical Center.
She has broad experience in higher education, having held roles in human resources, student affairs, and alumni development, as well as a full-time teaching faculty role running a leadership program for undergraduate students. A third-generation Colorado native, Lisa earned her JD from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BA in History from Northwestern University.
