The Board of Regents

The Board of Regents consists of nine members serving staggered six-year terms,
one elected from each of Colorado's seven congressional districts and two from the
state at-large. The board is charged constitutionally with the general supervision of
the university and the exclusive control and direction of all funds of and
appropriations to the university, unless otherwise provided by law.

Presidential Search Committee

Later this month, the Board of Regents will initiate a national search for the next president of the University of Colorado to succeed President Bruce Benson when he retires in July. Our goal is to complete the search in mid- to late spring, with the intention of having the new president start in July.

Strategic Framework

This document includes the insight and wisdom of many individuals from many different groups and levels of seniority, representing all four University of Colorado campuses. For many months, we have held countless discussions and gone through numerous rounds of revisions to land on what you see in front of you today. One of our core university values is and has always been inclusivity. Only when we are capturing diverse voices from different backgrounds and experiences can we build a truly collaborative vision for our collective good.
