CU Leadership Visits Buckley Air Force Base

CU Regent Sue Sharkey, CU President Mark Kennedy, and CU First Lady Debbie Kennedy met with Colonel Devin Pepper, Commander of the Buckley Garrison, and Chief Master Sergeant Robert Devall at Buckley Air Force Base (AFB). The visit centered on CU’s space-based research and workforce development, as well as programs for veterans, active duty personnel and their dependents offered across the university system.

The Buckley Garrison at Buckley AFB is a Space Force unit that serves Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve, and retired personnel throughout the Front Range. The Garrrison provides installation support functions for the resident air operations, space-based missile warning capabilities, space surveillance operations, and space communications missions.
