Why did you initially apply to work at CU?

It was two main things: The long-standing reputation of the school and the perception that CU is a place for personal and professional growth and opportunities.

What makes CU a great place to work?

It’s the mission, the people, the connections to the community, personal and professional networking, and a variety of career opportunities. Lastly, the overall campus environment contributes to making CU a great place to work.

What is/are your favorite aspect(s) of working at CU?

Some of my favorite aspects of working at CU are: One, CU provides me with an opportunity to work at a prestigious institution that is innovative and is changing the healthcare landscape every day; two, here at CU we are a family; this has been a very supportive environment for me.

What is a typical working day like for you?

Typically, I enjoy each work day because I get to work collaboratively with students, staff, faculty and residents on projects and issues that helps to support the SOM Mission, and the missions and focus of community organizations and individuals working towards health equity and educational access.

What is the best part of your workday?

I like interacting with students and colleagues across disciplines and campuses.

What is your favorite perk or benefit at CU?

A steady paycheck, quality health care benefits and a solid retirement fund.

What do you enjoy most about living in Colorado?

Colorado offers at least 300 days sunny days each year, the cleanliness of the state, the quality of education systems, many good restaurants, lots of open space, parks and recreation, our vibrant downtown, great shopping, the mountains and the tempered climates. The overall quality of life here in Colorado is very good.

What is your favorite campus/neighborhood location?

AMC is by far my favorite campus location.

What is your favorite area restaurant?

Hillstone’s in Cherry Creek.

What do you enjoy doing on your spare time?

I spend time with family and good friends.

What would be your one piece of advice for someone interested in working at CU?

Like any institution or anything in life, this system is not perfect. However, it will challenge your thinking, and contribute to your personal and professional growth!
