CU People upgrade scheduled for Aug. 9

University Information Services will perform a server upgrade for CU People on Saturday, Aug. 9. During this time, CU People will be unavailable for approximately 8 hours while data is migrated to new servers.

Timing:  9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9

This upgrade is part of our ongoing efforts to modernize infrastructure and improve system resilience. While CU People is not accessed directly by end users, the system plays a behind-the-scenes role in provisioning constituent IDs for new users in HCM and Campus Solutions. New constituent IDs will be delayed until the upgrade is complete.

What to Expect

  • All production and non-production services will be available.
  • Minimal to no impact to end users.
  • Temporary delay in the creation of new constituent IDs during the outage window.
  • No action required from most users.

Contingency Plan

In the unlikely event of an issue during the migration, the UIS team will revert to the previous environment by reactivating the original servers, ensuring continuity and data integrity.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact the UIS Service Desk.
