Survey Highlight and Overview of Results
In fall 2016 UCSC invited 9,992 university employees to fill out a survey that asked about selected aspects of employees’ work environment: benefits, professional development, and policies. Data collection began on November 1st and ended November 15th. The response rate was 31%, with 2,824 employees submitting surveys.

What was the Impact?
UCSC used this Work Climate Survey to solicit your opinions on a variety of issues and leadership listened.
Note on Service Excellence Awards: UCSC no longer sponsors Service Excellence Awards, as we are devoting our energy to other causes, including Professional Development Staff Events.
The Service Excellence Award is presented to one qualified staff member from each campus (and system administration), and includes a $1,000 cash award to be presented at the All Staff Council Conference. Each of the four recipients will be invited to the ceremony, along with his/her nominator, supervisor, and one additional guest.
