University of Colorado Statement on U.S. Department of Education’s Title IX regulations

The University of Colorado and its campuses will continue to prioritize our efforts to prevent and respond to all forms of sexual misconduct. Today's rules do not change our long-standing commitment to safety, non-discrimination, inclusion and fair and equitable processes on our campuses.  We are reviewing the U.S. Department of Education’s new Title IX regulations.  These regulations must be implemented on an aggressive timeline at a challenging time for our university, but we will work with our campus stakeholders and make the changes necessary for us to comply with this new federal law by Aug. 14.
