CU Boulder receives prestigious community engagement honor

The American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching announced today that CU Boulder has received the 2026 Carnegie Elective Classification for Community Engagement, an honor shared by only 277 institutions nationwide. "As Colorado's flagship public university, this recognition affirms CU Boulder’s deep commitment to working hand-in-hand with our communities across the state to create meaningful impact," said Chancellor Justin Schwartz.
