A cornerstone of the conference is an unforgettable VIP after-hours tour of the U.S. Capitol. Led by a member of Colorado’s delegation, you’ll experience the Rotunda and Statuary Hall after the crowds have left, getting an intimate look at the seat of American democracy.

Secrets of the CIA: The Spy Museum Private Briefing

An evening of drama and intrigue awaits you in this private session with CU alumni and former CIA operatives at the International Spy Museum. You’ll be regaled with stories from the field, learn about the high-stakes Art of Disguise, and discover CU’s incredible connection to the daring rescue operation that inspired the movie Argo. 

How to Apply

Complete the application form and submit it by March 20, 2026. This is a competitive process and space is limited. Not all applicants will be selected.

Details

Requirements: Participants must be Colorado residents and at least 18 years old at the time of the event to be considered. Students seeking a scholarship must be currently enrolled (not graduated) with a valid CU email address. 

Registration: The registration fee per participant is $650. Attendees may bring one guest (who is at least 18 years of age) to attend evening events for an additional fee of $250. Travel and lodging costs are the responsibility of participants.  

Your Stay: A room block with competitive pricing has been secured for participants at YOTEL Washington DC, located within walking distance from the Capitol.

This summit involves entry into high-security federal buildings. Are you willing to provide necessary personal information for a background check by the U.S. Capitol Police if needed?
Can you confirm your availability for the full duration of the summit (June 23–25, 2026)?
Do you have any specific accommodation or dietary needs we should be aware of for this high-mobility itinerary?
All participants and guests of participants must be 18 years of age at the time of the conference to attend.
All students seeking scholarships must be current students at a University of Colorado campus.
