Finance System

OUC Town Hall sessions offer a fun and personal way for you to stay up to date on OUC initiatives and changes … and us to stay centered on your needs and concerns.
Over the past several weeks, you’ve provided more great feedback on our Finance System Pain Points website. Now we owe several of you coffee!
We continue to hear from staff and faculty regarding their PeopleSoft Finance System experiences – both good (a few of those) and bad (more of these – but that’s what we’re looking for).
Congratulations and thanks to Mary Lou Kartis (UCCS) and Lori Bailey (UCB). They shared their experiences with the current finance system and talked about improvements they’d like to see in the new FIN 9.2 system. Their names were drawn in the first of five weekly drawings for Starbucks gift cards.
CU has embarked on a journey to upgrade its PeopleSoft Finance System … and we at the OUC want you to travel this road with us. In fact, we need you to help us build the road. Your suggestions and feedback will help make the new system and related business processes as useful, efficient, and pain-free as possible.
The following topics are on the agenda for the June Controllers’ meeting: Campus updates; July 1 policies/procedures; NACUBO Innovation Award; Proposed signature threshold on contracts; Advancement changes
The PeopleSoft HCM/Finance 9.2 Upgrade Project will bring several new and exciting enhancements to both Finance and HCM.
The PeopleSoft HCM/Finance 9.2 Upgrade Project has begun. And when it goes live – in November 2015 – it will improve a number of business processes in the areas of human resources and financial management.
We've reached a turning point: the external audit is now officially over. And this year the process was marked by a singular event: no questions from the State on our J-Rec.
If your department is responsible for billing external entities, you know what a complicated,  manual process that can sometimes be. The OUC’s Financial & Reporting Systems team can help you evaluate your business process and enhance it with online bills and deposits through the PeopleSoft Finance System. The Billing and Accounts Receivable modules are being used by large and small organizational units across CU to speed processing, ensure accuracy, and provide monitoring of payments.
