You still have time to tell the world what you’ve done. The CU Shared Practices (CUSP) website is accepting submissions of good ideas in action. In fact, we recently posted a new submission: Customer Service Training Seminars from UCCS. Take a few moments today to visit the CUSP website to:
  • Nominate yourself for something you’ve done to improve your department’s efficiency or operations …
  • Nominate a colleague for his or her outstanding contributions to good business processes at CU …
With many competing demands at this time of year, we offered just a single day of continuing professional education (CPE) for CPAs (and other employees) on Mon, June 4, presenting:
  • GASB Review
  • GASB Update
  • Topics in Effective Writing
All attendees have received their certificates of completion and links to access their course materials online.
Know someone who needs to stay up to date on financial matters … forms, procedures, policies, and other news? Tell them about the OUC Newsletter! You get it – and the PSC Communicator – and the PBS Bulletin – when you sign up for the University’s User Alerts. The subscription process has recently changed: to get on board, email help@cu.edu and ask to be added to the User Alert list. Or, if you prefer, enter a SupportWorks ticket (identify Desktop Support, Email as the categories). You’ll be signed up that very day!
Yes, it’s coming. Our new interactive web presence will be available later this summer. (We’d love to show it to you right away, but we need to wait for some software updates from UIS.) We’ll announce the new site and run through it prior to publication, to make sure you know what’s up, what’s where, what’s changed, and what’s going to be working better for you.
Last week, officers and their delegates received email messages and population data in preparation for the 2012 Fiscal Certification process. Officers have until June 29 to assign new delegates, make any needed changes to their rollup populations, and set due dates for their rollups. Following this preliminary phase, the actual fiscal certification and assessment statements will launch on July 2 and run through September 26 (2 weeks longer than usual). Good news for all participants: We’ve made substantial improvements to the certification and assessment forms this year.
