The University of Colorado will host an IABC workshop, "Make 90 seconds last a month," Jan. 16 at the system offices, 1800 Grant St. In the session, participants will learn how Brunner advertisers made the world care about 84 Lumber and what it stood for. Steve Radick will discuss how they overcame the network banning the first ad, how they pivoted their efforts from creating a commercial to creating a short film, and how they made a lumber company from southwestern Pennsylvania a global topic of conversation for an entire month. Cost: $55 university faculty, staff and students; $60 members; $80 nonmembers. More info and registration here. See more about the ad here.
