U.S National Science Foundation awards CU Boulder physics center $25 million to continue work

The National Science Foundation awarded the University of Colorado Boulder’s JILA Physics Frontiers Center $25 million to continue its work for another six years.

The center was founded in 2006 and is one of 11 similar research enterprises funded by the NSF to foster major breakthroughs in physics. The JILA team focuses on studying quantum physics, or the physics of very, very small things.

The center also participates in outreach activities and education with K-12 students across Colorado and beyond. For more information, visit colorado.edu/today/2023/09/12/pioneering-physics-center-gets-25m.
