Trying to reach a specific user in a Team's channel? "@" them [1]

September 21, 2021 by UIS Communications [2]

Often in a group chat or in a Team’s channel, users miss important details because the conversation is too long. Using “@” helps users mention specific people and grab their attention. When a user selects the notification that they have been mentioned, it takes them directly to the point in the conversation where they were mentioned.

To get a recipient’s attention, type “@” before their name and then select them from the list that appears. This feature is accessible on the desktop and mobile version of Teams.
