OPE supports the policy needs of the university by facilitating the ongoing review, development and maintenance of and assisting the university community in finding and understanding universitywide administrative policy statements (APSs) and regent laws and policies (RLPs).

Systemwide Administrative Policy Statements (APSs)

APSs [2]: enacted by the president of the university to provide operational requirements to the entire university community and delegate authority to officers of the university and the administration.

Regent Laws and Policies (RLPs)

Laws of the Regents [7]: enacted by the Board of Regents, the highest source of authority within the university, establish how the university is organized and governed.
Regent Policies [8]: enacted by the Board of Regents to operationalize the Laws of the Regents, direct the operation of functions the board is responsible for, and delegate authority to officers of the university and the administration.
