Travel Advisories in the Middle East [1]

March 3, 2026 by Staff [2]

The University of Colorado (CU) is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East and its impact on university travel. Many of the countries impacted are currently on CU’s higher risk country list. In addition, travelers are advised to carefully consider any plans to travel to, or connect through, the following countries: the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, Turkey, and Egypt. Many airlines have already canceled or suspended flights, and travel advisories are changing frequently. For the most up to date information on worldwide travel advisories and how those impact any University business travel planning, please refer to the US Department of State Travel Advisories [3] page.

CU travelers are also encouraged to utilize ISOS Membership Services (CU Membership No. 11BCAS000006 to log in) as an additional resource. To receive updated notifications dependent on your travel destination, download the ISOS mobile app. All travel booked through Concur/CBT will automatically be registered with ISOS.
