For those of you who work in the Finance System – or rely on others who do – the following update continues our series of status reports on FIN and Grants.

FIN and Grants: improving the re-org process … and reconciling data  

Recent developments include:

  • Re-org. We’re making progress on the much-anticipated re-org process. The Office of University Controller (OUC) team has completed their testing and now the campuses are testing, as well. Given the interest in this function, we may go live with the Program re-org process once it’s fully vetted – and then implement the Project re-org process as soon as that part is finalized. The improved re-org process is an important campus requirement as we approach our second fiscal year-end in the new Finance System. (This affects both FIN and Grants.)
  • Data reconciliation. Work continues in the area of Grants data clean-up.
