Special Session Update [1]

December 22, 2020 by Natalie Barry [2]

The State Legislature convened on November 30 for a three-day “Extraordinary Session” to address the COVID-19 pandemic. The bills that passed include $54 million in housing relief and $5 million on utility bill payment relief. The COVID-19 relief package also included $45 million in grant funding for struggling childcare centers, as well as tax relief for bars and restaurants. The relief package totaled about $328 million and additional action is expected during the next regular session in early 2021.
