UIS Highly Active at Oracle Alliance 2015 Conference – Jason Armbruster, Eric Bolinger, Jon Danzl, Bob Hasenhundl, Toby Lutz and Scott Munson

UIS is a strategic partner to Oracle, CU’s provider for our enterprise application systems like the portal, student, human resources and finance systems. As such, our staff are highly skilled in all aspects of implementing Oracle PeopleSoft solutions and are thus offering several presentations at Oracle’s Alliance conference March 15-18, 2015.

This week, we look at UIS’s offerings within Alliance’s Technical track. According to Alliance, Technical track sessions are where attendees “learn from Oracle and other institutions how to effectively leverage the delivered (Oracle) toolset.”

Jason Armbruster, Enterprise Architect, is facilitating a Mobile Campus Panel Discussion featuring a panel of institutions that have successfully implemented Oracle Mobile Campus. Topics like access, security and implementation practices will be discussed.

Eric Bolinger, Senior Lead PeopleSoft System Administrator, is presenting three sessions within the Technology track. The first, entitled Decoupled PS Homes - A Case Study from the University of Colorado, focuses on best practices for implementing the use of PeopleTools 8.53 PS_HOME directories. Bolinger is also presenting Leveraging your current VMWare Architecture with PeopleSoft Update Manager, which details implementation lessons learned and best practices for Oracle’s new PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) tool within a VMWare infrastructure. Finally, Bolinger will present Integration Broker Tuning for Volume and Performance, where he will share his experience and lessons learned using Oracle’s Integration Broker tool.

Jon Danzl, PeopleSoft Portal and Mobile Applications Developer, Bob Hasenhundl, Portal Developer Lead and Toby Lutz, Senior Portal Developer, are co-presenting a session entitled Ready, Set, Go! Campus Mobile in 45 minutes. This session steps through the implementation of Oracle’s Campus Mobile App, from configuration through deployment to Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store.

Scott Munson, Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer, will sit on a panel focused on cloud technology adoption and strategy. This panel session will be offered to a group of up to 150 CIOs and executives.
