The Laws of the Regents 7.C., delegates the authority to suspend or expel a student to a chancellor or her/his designee. The Board of Regents maintains oversight of such delegation by requiring a confidential report from each campus chancellor, detailing and specifying all disciplinary student suspensions, including summary suspensions and compulsory withdrawals. The confidential report will include a summary of facts and circumstances leading to the suspension or withdrawal and the specific written justification for each such action. The reports are due to the regents on January 31 and July 31 of each year.
