CU System Administration Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The System DEI office collaborates with CU campus colleagues to support initiatives that advance the diversity pillar of CU’s systemwide strategic plan, as well as campus strategic plans. They advise the president and other leadership on issues of diversity, equity and inclusion and will work to help CU system administration to diversify its workforce and support a culture of belonging.

CU Anschutz LGBTQ+ Hub

The LGBTQ+ Hub's mission is to create and maintain an inclusive campus environment for LGBTQ+ and allied students, faculty, staff, patients and visitors on campus and within the Aurora community by:

  • Promoting visibility, awareness and a sense of community;
  • Connecting LGBTQ+ students, faculty and staff with peer-to-peer support and community resources;
  • Providing education about the LGBTQ+ community;
  • Establishing a repository for LGBTQ+ health research and competent patient care;
  • Advocating for LGBTQ+ interests, including recruitment and retention; and
  • Creating intentional partnerships to provide direct services to LGBTQ+ people on campus and in the Aurora community.

CU Faculty Council LGBTQ+ Committee

The LGBTQ+ Committee considers concerns of LGBTQ+ faculty, including:

  • Assessing the cultural climate of the university as it pertains to opportunities of LGBTQ+ faculty for academic advancement, productivity and appropriate compensation;
  • Making recommendations for creating an academic environment that fosters the academic success of LGBTQ+ faculty; 
  • Working to assure fairness in the recruitment and retention of LGBTQ+ faculty;
  • Developing support networks and recommending policy to address the needs of LGBTQ+ faculty

UCCS Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Office of the Vice Chancellor for DEI is responsible for guiding and leading institutional wide efforts to advance a culture of inclusion and belonging at UCCS. This includes leading DEI strategic planning efforts, chairing the Council on Inclusive Belonging (CIB), and building institutional DEI capacity.
