Project Description
Facilities Management (FM) used Docebo to assign and track required courses for their employees. The system had limitations and it wasn't very efficient because it required a lot of manual work, and it was expensive. When I met with Lacey and Alex to discuss what Percipio could do, they were immediately interested in making the transition. We worked together to create audiences, identify comparable safety courses, create channels (areas in Percipio were the courses are listed together), assign courses as recurrent with reminders and overdue notices sent by Percipio.
Project Efficiency
No cost: Percipio is paid by the university, and not specific departments - This allows Facilities Management the opportunity to re-allocate $110,640 over a 2-year period.
Fully functional mobile app: their employees often work outside of the office and might not have time to return to take a course on a computer.
Support in multiple languages, central learning hub employees are familiar with, courses organized in channels by specific needs (like onboarding), compliance tracking in real time, so Lacey could stop tracking and uploading completions manually, without having to send emails to specific groups to remind them about completing courses.
Project Inspiration
The new LMS selected, Percipio, offers move features than the LMS previously used. The new features align with the need for better tracking, reporting, and management of the courses required by the staff.
What Makes You Happiest about this Project?
Saving FM $110, 640 that can be used to expand other training programs. Better use of a tool already available. The opportunity to develop a strong working and friendly relationship with Lacey, Alex, and the department. Supporting them so they can work on other projects. Inspiring other departments to make the transition.
