Accounting Services – Associate Director of Accounting Services

Emma is responsible for supporting the University's mission by providing timely, accurate and relevant financial information to the University's fiscal employees; supporting and developing financial accounting information systems; and promulgating clear, practical guidelines to assist the University community in dispensing fiscal responsibilities through these systems while adhering to the requirements of University, state, and federal laws, rules, and procedures. Responsibilities include supervising the Accounting Services team, overseeing the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, responding to State inquiries, and coordinating the external audit.

Facts

• Originally from the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati, Ohio area and moved to Denver in 2018
• Graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Accounting and double-major in Spanish
• Has worked in various audit (Deloitte) and accounting (Thrive Market and Xcel Energy) roles.
• Was a Financial Reporting Accountant with the OUC from 2018-2022 and returned in 2025 as Associate Director
