Two Things to Learn about Cognos [1]

October 28, 2013 by normandy.roden [2]

If you haven't worked in the Cognos Reporting System recently, you should know that there's a new folder in town: It's called HELP and it provides quick and easy access to Carl's m-Fin blog, to Cognos learning resources, and to the FinPro Help Desk.  Also -- if you haven't looked at the Cognos learning resources lately -- be sure to check out the newer formats for report instructions, on the OUC website at www.cu.edu/controller/traininghelp/stepbystep/reporting.html [3]. An attendee at one of our OUC Town Halls commented that she'd love to have a snapshot of each report handy, so she didn't have to rely on a text description alone to decide if it was the right report to run. Good news: it's available! For example, see the one-page description/snapshot of the m-Fin SpeedType Summary at www.cu.edu/controller/traininghelp/stepbystep/reporting/QR%20m-Fin%20SpeedType%20Summary.pdf [4].
