Impacts of Recent Tax Code Changes [1]

April 19, 2018 by normandy.roden [2]

The Office of University Controller has created a website to inform the campus community about the impacts of recent changes in the tax code.

This follows up on our March 2018 on-campus Town Halls, where we discussed:

  • Transportation Fringe Benefits;
  • Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT);
  • Moving Expenses; and,
  • Individual Withholdings.

Review our new Tax Code Changes site

The new page -- at www.cu.edu/controller/tax-code-changes-2018 [3] -- offers centralized access to University policies and procedures that are being updated as a result of the recent tax reform act. In addition, it highlights issues that remain under discussion and evaluation.

Perform a Paycheck Check-up

On an individual level, all employees might want to check their withholdings. The IRS offers an online withholding calculator [4] to help you do this.
