Protecting Computing and Information Assets
The primary goal of the University information security program is to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.
The Office of Information Security (OIS) and the campus Information Security Officers, working with the Security Advisory Committee, jointly oversee the University of Colorado’s efforts to protect its computing and information assets and to comply with information-related privacy and security laws and regulations.
Key functions of OIS:
- Information Security Program Development and Maintenance
- Information Risk Management
- System-wide Incident Management
- Security Awareness and Training
It is important to remember that all members of the University community have a responsibility for maintaining data privacy and security.
