Benefits changes to Anthem-administered plans, effective July 1, 2024

  • Deductibles for CU Health Plan - Extended will increase to $1,000 for individuals and $2,000 for families.
  • The out-of-pocket maximum and deductibles for CU Health Plan - High Deductible will increase. The High Deductible plan deductibles will be $1,600 for single in-network coverage and $3,200 for family in-network coverages. Out-of-pocket maximums for in-network coverage will increase to $3,200 for single in-network coverage and $6,400 for family in-network coverage. This change represents the lowest deductible allowed for high deductible health plans, under IRS regulations.

Vision coverage

Enrollees in CU Health Plan - Exclusive will enjoy an added benefit of one free eye exam through Blue View Vision.

Employees enrolled in other plans can elect to add Blue View Vision full-service coverage to their current plan for an additional premium.

Out-of-state coverage

Employees enrolled in CU Health Plans – Extended and High Deductible can use their coverage outside the state of Colorado.

Sydney Health App

Employees enrolled in Anthem-administered plans can take advantage of the Sydney Health mobile app, which allows users to locate a provider, view their member ID, compare costs, access telehealth services and more.

Telehealth options

Anthem plan coverage includes access to Livehealth Online for virtual medical consults covering common ailments such as cold and flu, sore throat, headache, rashes and more. You can also receive virtual mental health assistance to treat illnesses such as depression, anxiety, grief and more. This service is facilitated through Anthem’s Sydney Health app.
