Lynda.com, CU's current learning platform, is upgrading to LinkedIn Learning this September.

Lynda.com currently provides an online library of thousands of instructional videos covering the latest software, creative and business skills for learners at all levels. It is currently available to all CU facutly and staff, along with CU Boulder students. This platform will be replaced by LinkedIn Learning September of this year.

LinkedIn Learning is an interactive online resource inventory with videos, courses and practice exercises focused on developing skills applicable in the workplace. Whether you need to create a better presentation or want to become an effective leader, LinkedIn Learning is there. 

Along with the upgrade, access will expand to all CU students, through campus student portals. CU faculty and staff will access LinkedIn Learning in the employe portal.

A new aspect of LinkedIn Learning is the ability to connect your personal LinkedIn profile to the new learning system. Connecting your profile will result in a more personalized learning experience that includes special course recommendations based on your job title, skills and industry. In addition, every time you complete a learning path and course, you will receive a digital badge of completion that can be added to your profile

How do I access LinkedIn Learning?

LinkedIn Learning will be located in the employee portal for CU faculty and staff. Students can access this tool through their campus student portal.

Who is eligilble to use the system?

Faculty, staff and students on all campuses are able to enjoy LinkedIn Learning.

Do I have to pay for certain courses within LinkedIn Learning?

No - CU faculty, staff and students have unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning through their university affiliation. When you leave the university in any capacity, you will lose access.
